- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Pat the brisket dry and season with 1 teaspoon of salt.
- In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, add 4 tablespoons of butter and melt. Placing the brisket fat side down, brown the brisket for about 10–15 minutes per side. Once browned, remove to a plate and set aside.
- To the pan, add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter, onions, shallots, and garlic.
- Over medium heat, caramelize the onions, shallots, and garlic for about 8–10 minutes. Deglaze the pan with wine and stock. Reduce the liquid by half, then add 1 can of Ciao Authentica Crushed Tomatoes, balsamic, Worcestershire, honey, salt, and thyme. Mix to combine.
- Add the brisket back into the pan and cover. Bake for about 2 ½ to 3 hours. Then remove the cover and cook for another 20–25 minutes, uncovered.
- Allow it to cool slightly, slice, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
